I would say about 85% of the product in my professional makeup kit is high-end, and the 15% that’s from the drugstore is not to save money- I use it because it’s because it’s really good quality.
My clients often ask me what the best budget-friendly makeup is, so I’ve compiled this bunch to show you guys. These are my tried and true, favorite makeup products that you can get from the drugstore.
Let’s start with eyes. These Rohto cooling eyedrops aren’t messing around. If you want your eyes to look super white and sparkly, pick this up. It’s a little tingly feeling at first, so be forewarned! But it goes away quickly. 😉
In my opinion, Maybelline is hands down the best way to go for mascara. The Colossal Volume and the Falsies are two of my favorites because they’re super black, and they really are waterproof (which is essential for brides and bridal parties!).
In the same vein- falsies. I really love Ardell’s Demi Wispies and use them on almost all of my clients. They’re flattering on most eye shapes, and can easily be cut into sections for my customization. I always use them in conjunction with Duo’s striplash adhesive in “dark.”
To cover the lash band, my favorite eyeliners are Maybelline’s Master Precise felt-tip liner, and Eyestudio gel liner (this one is super black and if set with a dark eyeshadow won’t budge all day! I prefer it to gel eyeliners I’ve tried from NARS, Smashbox, and Bobbi Brown)
To finish it off with some glow, I absolutely love the Physician’s Formula Strobe Palette and the ELF baked powder in Moonlight Pearls (I had to scrape off the top layer of this product to get some good color payoff, but after I did so it was beautiful!).
My favorite nude to date (for my skintone) is this one by Revlon.
This. This is stunning. I absolutely love this cream/glitter duo from Revlon. It’s beautiful on its own or as a base for other eyeshadows. Just buy it. you won’t be sorry.
