How to make the most of your wardrobe: one pant 4 ways

Most of us don’t have the budget to buy new clothes as often as we want to or as often as trends change.

If you’re in a fashion rut, or find yourself always reaching for jeans, here are 4 easy outfits that are comfortable and versatile and will quickly elevate your day-to-day-style. (Read: It will look like you tried much harder than you actually did.) It’s the power of trousers.

This outfit is perfect for spring. With a light, breezy, off-the-shoulder top and some strappy heels, this pair of trousers looks chic and put together. (Top and heels: Forever 21//Trousers: Zara)

On the other end of the spectrum, throw on an oversized black lace-up tee and some funky shoes, and this same pair of pants takes on an edgier, street-style inspired look.

To give your look a little more personality, try pattern-mixing. I often do this myself when I look at my closet and feel like my clothes aren’t quite my style anymore. Mix it up. Make it your style!

And last but not least, throw on a slouchy sweater. You can’t really go wrong here. You’ll be comfortable and casual while still looking put-together.

Fashion tip: for a more relaxed look, try going a size up so that the pants don’t look too stiff or business-like. I bought mine in a size 2 to give me a little wiggle room because I have plenty of fitted skinny jeans and wanted to switch it up a bit.
